Thanking my lucky stars!

Am I stiff today!! All across my shoulders and back and I have a pain in my side where the seatbelt was! I keep thinking how lucky we were, if we weren't wearing seatbelts, if we had used my car, if the car in front hadn't moved away, if the handbrake had been on, and how scary it would have been if they had cut me out! So I'm grateful for that and glad that the aches and pains we both have today are nothing compared to what could have happened!!

Anyway the prompt for HS:MS! Show us "WET" in your space today. A piccy of a starling just getting of the bird bath in my back garden! A bit chilly if you ask me, but there's no accounting for taste!!

And here is my advent calendar for this year! I bought in the supermarket cos I liked it, but it was a bit plain and boring, so I tarted up with some paper, miniature cotton reels and ribbon for the candles and of course a star on top!

Gosh! Just read your previous post. So glad you are here with us today instead of in hospital :-)

If . . . that word . . . if only . . .

Rest and take care. Shock can be quite an unpredictable thing to handle. They say that the feeling can often follow a pattern that spells SARA. Something like you feel shock then anger then you want revenge and finally you have acceptance. Do look after yourself. Been there although in different cicumstances.

Love the wet photo. Why don't birds get cold?

And your advent calendar . . . super.

Bye for now . . . Sue

You did so well to capture the bird in your photo, well done! And I hope no long term repurcussions from your accident...

Purdy birdie! I'd love a bird bath, but we have outdoor cats and I'd hate to think I was luring the birds to a grisly death!

So glad to hear you're ok after your crash.

What a cute photo of that bird - how cool to capture him like that! Please look after yourself - apart from the aches and pains (that's bad enough) there's the shock - as you say, the 'what could have happened' thoughts

Take care, I had an accident not long ago and the drunk driver who hit me while I was stationery had to be cut out - it took an hour I'm just so glad it wasn't me. The shock lasts for a while, the paperwork lasts even longer!! Lol
